Sharing Photos
If you have photos of Club events which you would like to contribute to our Club Photos collection on Flickr, the processes by which you can do that are listed below. If you have any questions or trouble with either of these processes, please contact us through photos@saltspringsailing.ca or communications@saltspringsailing.ca.
Select your best photos to send us, preferably at high resolution. The required format is JPG/JPEG.
If you have only a few photos, you can send them by email. Please send them to photos@saltspringsailing.ca as properly attached files, as opposed to being dragged into the email from your computer. (Dragging the files from your computer to the email doesn’t retain the resolution, so best to attach them properly, please.)
If you have too many photos for an email, we ask that you make a folder and send it via a free method called WeTransfer, which is an easy-to-use service capable of sending large files free of charge.. The directions for doing that are outlined below:
Go to wetransfer.com, where you will see this little box on the left side of the screen:

Click the “+” button at the top to choose which files you want to send.
Enter photos@saltspringsailing.ca in the “Email to” field.
Enter your email in the appropriate field. Optionally, you can add a title and brief message, if you like.
Click the Transfer button to send the file(s). Choose three days if it asks you how long you want the link to last.
That’s it! The files will now be sent and received.
